Best Week Ever!

It's here...the best week ever, Restaurant week! If you've never heard of restaurant week, you are missing out. Every major city has a "Restaurant Week" where restaurants offer a pre-fixe menu for a steal! This week is awesome because you can go try fancy shmancy (or not fancy shmancy if you prefer) restaurants you have never been to for a deal! Here in the Duke City, restaurant week is March 13-19. If you aren't in ABQ, do yourself a favor and google your city's restaurant week. I am already salivating over the menus and making reservations.

Since I have entered the wonderful world of blogging, I have stumbled upon many blogs that I love to follow. One day, while clicking through some of my favorite food blogs, I came across one titled "Homesick Texan" and OMG! this is a woman after my own heart! She grew up in Texas, but lives in NY and her blog is dedicated to all the foods she (and me too for that matter!) grew up around. This weekend I tried her recipe for "Love dip", a yummy concoction that, until now, I could only get from my favorite TX grocery store, Central Market. I paired the dip with mini pita bites from my new favorite grocery store Trader Joe's and it was a hit. I encourage anyone to check her blog out. Texan or not it's full of good eats!
